As a die-hard fan of anime and Batman, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming “Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League“! With its captivating blend of action, adventure, and a dash of the bizarre, this sequel promises to be an unforgettable journey.


Warner Bros. Animation has revealed the official trailer for their upcoming anime film “Batman Ninja versus Yakuza League,” a sequel to the 2018 movie of the same name. This action-packed adventure is scheduled for release on digital platforms in 2025.

What happens in the Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League trailer?

In the second installment, following his transport to feudal Japan, Batman is now back in Gotham City. Though he’s managed to return to his original timeline, an unusual predicament for Batman persists when a multitude of Yakuzas mysteriously appear in Gotham. The storyline also includes the Justice League members – The Flash, Aquaman, and Green Lantern – who have been transformed into Yakuza-like versions of themselves within this plot. This upcoming trailer was unveiled at the 2024 New York Comic Con panel, where over 2,000 enthusiastic fans were present. Alongside the new trailer, these attendees were treated to a rare 10-minute sneak peek of the movie.

In simple terms, the animated movie titled “Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League” is jointly directed by Jumpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takaji, with Kazuki Nakashima penning the script. Notable voice actors such as Koichi Yamadera (who plays both Bruce Wayne/ Batman), Ayane Sakura (Green Lantern), Akio Otsuka (Aquaman), Nobuyuki Hiyama (The Flash), Romi Park (Wonder Woman), Kazuhiro Yamaji (Ra’s al Ghul), Rie Kugimiya (Harley Quinn), Wataru Takagi (The Joker), Hochu Otsuka (Alfred Pennyworth), and Masaki Terasoma (James Gordon) are all part of the cast.

Besides the imaginative squad, you’ll find Character Designer Takashi Okazaki contributing his skills. The soundtrack is composed by Yugo Kanno. This production comes from Warner Bros. Japan, while animation duties are handled by Kamikaze Douga.
