On November 21, 2024, all eight episodes from the second season of “Based on a True Story” are set to debut on the streaming platform, Peacock.
“In the second season, Ava and Nathan Bartlett, fresh parents for three months, are fully engrossed in their family life. Driven by her desire to care for her loved ones, Ava aims to suppress her fascination with true crimes and rejoin her career as a real estate agent. Meanwhile, Nathan is busy training private tennis clients. However, a string of fresh murders lures Ava back into the world of crime – could Matt be responsible? Is Tory, who’s now involved with Matt, in peril? Life seems to be going well for them, with Ava’s TikTok hobby and her new friend Drew serving as pleasant diversions, and Nathan eager to rekindle his tennis career and friendship with Matt – that is, until danger unexpectedly appears at their doorstep.”
Annie Weisman holds the roles of showrunner, executive producer, and scriptwriter for the television series. Jaclyn Moore is an executive producer and writer as well. Moreover, Alex Buono, Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, Craig Rosenberg, Couco, and Messina are also credited as executive producers. It’s worth noting that Buono has directed multiple episodes in the new season.
