Bart Johnson recently issued an apology for the comments he made concerning the legal dispute between his sister-in-law, Blake Lively, and actor Justin Baldoni from It Ends With Us. Previously, Johnson had been vocal in backing Lively and criticizing Baldoni. However, he now acknowledges that his approach to sharing his opinions was not appropriate.

Bart Johnson, famous for his role in High School Musical and the brother-in-law of Blake Lively, has recently issued an apology for his vigorous defense of Lively amidst her legal disagreement with actor Justin Baldoni. In December, Johnson publicly expressed his backing for Lively following her sexual harassment accusations against Baldoni on set of It Ends With Us. In a since-removed post, Johnson openly criticized Baldoni, labeling him a “fraud” and suggesting that he was merely using a heroic persona for self-promotion rather than authenticity. Moreover, Johnson alleged that Baldoni had been misleading his followers for years.

In a post on January 28, Johnson admitted that his actions fell short in the given situation. He used social media to admit that his words were harsh and didn’t meet his personal expectations. On X, he penned down, “Regardless of my opinion or attempting to speak truthfully or stand up for someone, it’s always wrong. Even when it might seem justified and right, it doesn’t matter. There is always a more appropriate way.

The disagreement between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni intensified in December when Lively filed a lawsuit. In this lawsuit, she explained how Baldoni’s alleged actions resulted in a defamatory campaign against her during the press tour for “It Ends With Us.” Baldoni retaliated with a counter-lawsuit, claiming that Blake had plotted to discredit him as well.
