As per an article from The New York Post, Kneecap, an Irish band, ignited debates when they showed content critical of Israel during their performance at the Coachella Festival in 2025.

During Coachella’s second part, the hip-hop group expressed their stance, backing Palestine while criticizing Israel regarding the persistent conflict in Gaza. Group member Mo Chara then spoke to the crowd, stating passionately, “They’re dropping bombs from above. If you’re not referring to it as genocide, then what on earth are you calling it?

On the stage screen, a message was shown that read “Free Palestine from Israel,” followed by another message stating, “The U.S. government supplies weapons and financing to Israel, even in the face of its alleged war crimes.

As a passionate fan, I couldn’t help but voice my disapproval when some social media users criticized the organizers – AEG Presents and Goldenvoice – for permitting statements during a performance that didn’t sit well with many. However, in defense of Goldenvoice CEO, Paul Tollett, renowned record executive Scooter Braun stepped forward on his Instagram, praising him by saying: “He champions artists and stands up for everyone. When I invited him to the opening of the Nova music exhibit in Los Angeles, he was the first industry figure to accept. He took time out of his schedule to visit the exhibit for five hours, and afterward, he even met with survivors of nova.
