What do we know about Lionsgate’s Bagman movie?
In the chilling horror movie “Bagman,” a family is drawn into a living nightmare as they’re pursued by an evil, age-old legend. For generations and among various cultures, parents have told their kids about the Bagman – a monstrous figure who abducts innocent children and stores them in his putrid sack, forever disappearing from sight. As a boy, Patrick McKee (Sam Claflin) narrowly evaded this terrifying fate, leaving him with deep emotional scars that persisted into his adult life. Now, the tormentor of Patrick’s childhood has resurfaced, endangering the wellbeing of his spouse Karina (Antonia Thomas) and child Jake (Caréll Rhoden). Lionsgate brings you this Temple Hill production, in collaboration with Media Capital Technologies.
Colm McCarthy, who is known for helming “Outcast” in 2010 and “The Girl with All the Gifts” from 2016 (featuring Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine, and Glenn Close), directs “Bagman”. John Hulme penned the script, while production was overseen by Marty Bowen, John Fischer, Wyck Godfrey, and Isaac Klausner.
Among Caflin, Thomas, and Rhoden, in addition to them, are featured in Bagman’s ensemble Sharon D Clarke, Steven Cree, William Hope, Adelle Leonce, Peter McDonald, Henry Pettigrew, and Will Davis.
In the United States, “Bagman” is scheduled for release by Lionsgate on September 20, 2024. At present, the Motion Picture Association (MPA) has not formally assigned a rating to this film.
