Backyard Sports to return with games, television & film projects

As a kid of the 90s and early 2000s, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia hearing about the revival of Backyard Sports! This franchise was an integral part of my childhood, where Pablo Sanchez and his friends were not just characters in a game, but companions on countless afternoons spent in virtual backyards.

90’s and early 2000’s kids got a delightful surprise today when Playground Productions announced the reboot of the Backyard Sports game franchise! Excitingly, they are not only planning new video game versions but also working on creating movies and TV shows based on it.

As someone who grew up playing Backyard Sports games and watching Playground Productions, I was thrilled to see the announcement of its return this morning. The animated trailer brought back memories of my own childhood, filled with laughter and fun as Pablo Sanchez and his friends reunited for some backyard action. I can’t wait to revisit the series and relive those moments once again.

As for when new games (or potentially TV shows or movies) might be released, there’s no set schedule yet.
