As an ardent fan of Telugu cinema, I’ve seen my fair share of rural dramas, and I must say, Bachhala Malli, starring the ever-versatile Allari Naresh, is a breath of fresh air. Having grown up in a small village myself, I could relate to the rustic charm that this film exudes.
On December 20th, the film “Bachhala Malli” featuring Allari Naresh officially premiered in cinemas. Since then, cinema enthusiasts have been rushing to catch the opening day, first screening. The internet is abuzz with reviews of Subbu Mangadevvi’s direction, and early feedback suggests a positive reception.
A social media user described the movie “#BachhalaMalli” as a common rural drama with a strong, genuine message at its heart. However, they felt that the predictable or dull script diminished the film’s impact, making it less powerful. The movie often follows familiar tropes and scenes found in typical rural dramas.
People praised Allari Naresh’s acting, stating, “Though there are some intriguing instances scattered throughout, the director disappointingly neglects to fully develop them, resulting in a lack of overall impression. Allari Naresh delivers an excellent performance, and the music is passable.
In my perspective, a heartfelt intention shines through in this script, but if the screenplay fails to captivate, it leaves little impact. It was an earnest effort, yet fell short in its delivery.
A different user complimented Allari Naresh on his acting in the film “Bachhala Malli,” saying, “#BachhalaMalli The storyline is quite genuine, however, the lack of excitement in the script diminishes its depth and weakens its overall effect. #AllariNaresh gave it his all, but unfortunately, his efforts were not rewarded. #AmritaAiyer performed well.
As a devoted fan, I’d rate this film 3 out of 5 stars and express: “#BachhalaMalli @allarinaresh, you absolutely nailed it! The acting and screenplay were simply amazing. #vishalchandrasekhar, your work truly embodied the soul of the film.
Thus far, audiences have applauded Allari Naresh’s acting skills in the film, yet they have criticized the creators for a subpar narrative structure.
