The trailer alone is a testament to the sizzling chemistry she shares with Harris Dickinson, and the cat-and-mouse game they seem to be engaged in promises an edge-of-the-seat experience.
Director Halina Reijn’s upcoming erotic thriller titled Babygirl has its official trailer out now, and it features Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman as the powerful CEO character who develops a relationship with a younger intern portrayed by Harris Dickinson.

What Happens in the Babygirl Trailer?
Dickinson’s Samuel instructs Kidman’s Romy about what she should do, and she complies, even when he makes her drink a glass of milk. Romy and Samuel engage in a passionate romance that unfolds amidst the steamy clubs, hotel rooms, and crowded bars. Their game of cat-and-mouse has the potential to disrupt Romy’s personal and professional world.
2024 proved to be a bustling year for Kidman’s acting career. It kicked off with a lead role in Lulu Wang’s Prime Video series titled Expats. Following this, she took on the leading part in a Netflix romantic comedy called A Family Affair, co-starring Zac Efron and Joey King. In September, she starred in The Perfect Couple, a murder mystery series available on Netflix. Prior to Babygirl’s release in theaters, Kidman will lend her voice to the animated Netflix film titled Spellbound.
Babygirl also stars Sophie Wilde as Esme and Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas as Jacob.
In a follow-up to her last feature film in 2022 titled Bodies Bodies Bodies, Reijn is both writing and directing a new project called Babygirl. Alongside David Hinojosa and Julia Oh, she is also serving as a producer for this upcoming thriller, which will be distributed by A24.
At the 81st Venice International Film Festival, the film titled “Babygirl” made its grand entrance and contended for the prestigious Golden Lion award. Nicole Kidman was awarded the Volpi Cup for Best Actress, potentially positioning her for an Oscar nomination in 2025. Following its successful premiere in Venice, “Babygirl” also screened at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
Babygirl will be released in theaters on December 25, 2024.
