As a longtime television critic with a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling and visual effects, I must admit that this year’s Emmy nominations have left me utterly thrilled and impressed! Having spent years observing the evolution of streaming services like Netflix, it’s truly remarkable to witness their growing impact on the industry.
On July 17, Wednesday, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale revealed the entire roster of Emmy Award nominees for the 76th edition. Numerous deserving shows, performers, and artists were fortunate enough to secure a place on this list. In particular, Netflix boasted an impressive 33 titles across various genres that received at least one nomination.
Netflix led the pack this year with an impressive 107 nomination count. Notable contributors to this number were “The Crown” with its 18 nominations for its sixth and last season, the limited series “Ripley” earning 13 nods, and the surprise hit “Baby Reindeer” with 11 nominations. However, these aren’t the only double-digit recognitions!
As a huge fan of Netflix’s innovative and groundbreaking content, I am absolutely thrilled to witness the remarkable milestones and history-making moments from their 2024 Emmy nominations. Maya Rudolph’s five consecutive nods for her exceptional work on “Big Mouth” in the Outstanding Voiceover Character Performance category is a testament to her undeniable talent and dedication to her craft. Her accomplishments leave me in awe, and I can only imagine the joy and pride she feels as she continues to break boundaries in this field.
