Just one day left! It’s the final day of Awesome Games Done Quick 2025. This is your last chance to catch the world’s fastest speedrunners playing through iconic games from past and present, all in record time. As they do annually, they’ll be raising funds for charity while streaming live on Twitch.
2025’s Games Done Quick marathon is taking place in Pittsburgh, PA. Several participants are present for live games, while others are joining from their home studios online. The goal of this year’s event is to support the Prevent Cancer Foundation, and so far, the runners have collected over $1,300,000. Playing Elden Ring can be quite challenging, but the participants in GDQ manage to impress with their determination. Also, there’s an optional DLC tour called “Shadow of the Erdtree Bingo” that offers an enjoyable short journey for players.
Hold up… It appears there’s another Elden Ring playthrough? And this one is a boss battle medley performed on the saxophone? I must say, they’re really pushing their luck with these elaborate displays.
3:04PM – Crazy Taxi
Games Done Quick has stepped into a fresh phase with an array of unconventional performances. Among all the peculiarities seen during these marathons, nothing quite compares to this one. In addition to chuckles825 playing Crazy Taxi, the music will be performed live by Limiter Cut. This unique event should not be missed, so don’t forget to tune in!
8:59PM – Super Metroid
This is the ultimate closing run for Super Metroid, but with an unexpected turn! Given that randomizers have significantly enriched the Games Done Quick (GDQ) events, it’s high time we incorporate one into this major Super Metroid run. Andy, Oatsngoats, imyt, and Eddie are set to participate in a unique race where they will strive to traverse the Super Metroid randomizer and discover an unconventional route to Mother Brain.
