Avowed Save File Location for PC

The newest game from Obsidian Entertainment within the Pillars of Eternity series is called Avowed. This first-person role-playing game can be played now on both PC and Xbox consoles. For those who bought the Premium Edition, early access to the game has already started. So far, feedback about the PC version has been generally favorable.

As a gamer, I can play this game across various computer platforms thanks to its availability on multiple clients. Plus, it offers cloud saves, which means my progress is synced everywhere. However, if I ever need to access my local files for debugging or keeping track of my progress, I can simply find the save file location for Avowerd and dig in!

As a devoted gamer, I’d advise you to securely store the folder related to “Avowed” where it houses your save games in the .sav format. Ensure this location is consistent across both Steam and Battle.net clients, but for now, I can’t guarantee the location for the Xbox App version as most of its save files are encrypted.

Save File Shortcut

You can reach the same destination on your computer by typing this address into either the Windows Run box or File Explorer: (provide the address)

%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Avowed

Log Files Shortcut

If you’ve bought Avowed on Steam, you can access your log files at the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common

Avowed Configuration Files Location

For games running on Unreal Engine 5 like Avowed, you’ll find the configuration files here: [specified location]

C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Alabama\Saved\Config\Windows

Here, you can open the Engine.ini file to edit different aspects of the title to your liking.

Avowed Steam Features

On Steam, Avowed offers several notable characteristics such as Steam Cloud, integrated achievements within the client, complete controller compatibility, and Steam Input.

Players who acquire the game from Battle.net or Microsoft Store, aside from Steam, can enjoy it across these platforms as well as Xbox consoles. The Premium Edition is your ticket to accessing the game prior to its official launch on February 18, 2025, and comes with some additional perks like outfits for the characters.

As a gamer, I’ve found it much more convenient to manage my save files when I buy games through Steam or Battle.net compared to the Microsoft Store. The early impressions of Avowed are overwhelmingly positive, and I’m thrilled to see how well Unreal Engine 5 is being utilized in this new release.
