As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit, it’s a bittersweet pill to swallow when anticipated games get delayed. I remember waiting for years for games like Duke Nukem Forever and Diablo III to finally drop, only to be left wanting more. Yet, as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait.
As a passionate gamer, I’m sharing some exciting yet slightly disappointing news about one of the highly anticipated RPGs, Avowed, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox. There had been whispers in the gaming community about a potential delay, and today, those rumors were confirmed officially.
Today, Xbox shared the news of a delay for the upcoming game, Avowed, across their official social media platforms. They provided a comprehensive explanation behind this decision and hinted at the expected release date for further glimpses into the game.
With numerous games on the horizon, we’re shifting Avowed to February 18, 2025. This gives players some space in their gaming lineup.

Xbox recently unveiled its plans for Gamescom 2024, revealing that a demo from GSC Game World of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be playable at their booth during the event. However, the release date for Avowed has moved away from its earlier suggested Fall 2024 launch window. Despite this shift, positive feedback suggests that the game is progressing well, leading many to believe it may not face further delays.
As a fellow gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the release of Avowed has been scheduled for February 18, 2025! Keep your eyes peeled for fresh information and exciting updates about this highly-anticipated game, straight from Shacknews.
