As I eagerly wait for the big reveal about the plot of Avengers: Doomsday, recently leaked set photos have piqued my curiosity as a gamer and comic book enthusiast. One particular image showcases what seems to be a shattered Sentinel, sparking excitement among X-Men fans like myself. I can’t help but wonder what role this colossal robot will play in the upcoming movie!

Various snapshots and clips from the upcoming movie “Avengers: Doomsday” have been leaked online lately, hinting at a specific scene that may feature Sentinels.

On May 15th, @UnBoxPHDFILM posted numerous pictures and videos from one of the sets of Avengers 5 on their old platform (which was previously Twitter). These images revealed what appears to be a massive, toppled-over robot. Despite most of its mechanical frame being concealed by blue tarpaulins, certain sections such as a colossal foot and a purple chestplate were distinctly visible in the leaked photos.

Although it’s tough to identify the robot specifically or who it might be, its color and size suggest it could resemble a Sentinel. Additionally, user @Scooper @MyTimeToShineH supported this idea by sharing tweets from @UnBoxPHDFILM, labeling them “A Sentinel on the Avengers: Endgame set!

In Marvel comics, the Sentinels are a collection of advanced robots created to eliminate mutants. Throughout various storylines, they often appear as adversaries against the X-Men. The Sentinels first appeared on the big screen in the 2014 film, X-Men: Days of Future Past, where Peter Dinklage’s character, Bolivar Trask, developed them.

Instead of depicting the Sentinels with their modernized appearance as seen in Days of Future Past, the leaked images hint that Avengers: Doomsday might present a truer representation of the comics’ version of the evil robots.

Although the update suggests it, Marvel hasn’t confirmed yet if Sentinels will appear in the next Avengers movie set to premiere on May 1, 2026. Fans can only speculate about their role until the film is released.
