As a devoted fan, I’ve just heard an intriguing whisper about the newcomers yet unveiled for 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday. The buzz has it that Love, the character from Thor: Love and Thunder who’s also Chris Hemsworth’s real-life daughter, could reappear in this highly anticipated sequel. If true, she’s expected to make a substantial impact on the plot.
Thor’s adopted daughter Love could return in Avengers: Doomsday
During the June Q&A session on Cosmic Circus’ Discord server, well-known insider Alex Perez suggested that Gorr’s daughter might reappear in Avengers: Doomsday. He emphasized her role as pivotal to advancing Thor’s storyline within the film.
In Avengers: Doomsday, Perez mentioned that we’ll find Thor looking after Gorr’s daughter. He further explained that Love, who is in touch with the cosmic entity Eternity, will warn Thor of an approaching battle since Eternity is under threat due to the ongoing circumstances.
2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder marked the first appearance of Love. Her character played a crucial part in advancing the storyline. In the film, Christian Bale’s character, Gorr, selflessly gave up his life to bring back his daughter through Eternity’s power. Moved by this act, Thor chose to care for the little girl and teach her how to be a hero. The movie concludes with them setting off on an adventure together, with Love even using Stormbreaker, Thor’s renowned weapon, at one point.
According to Perez’s statements, it appears that Love might join Thor again in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. However, Marvel Studios has kept quiet about the duo’s whereabouts since the 2022 film, leaving us guessing. It also remains uncertain if Chris Hemsworth’s real-life daughter, India Rose Hemsworth, will return to her role in Avengers 5, should Love appear in the movie.
Due to a shift in its launch timing, the movie “Avengers: Doomsday” will finally be shown in theaters on December 18, 2026.
