Autographed copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 collector’s editions are being auctioned for charity, but it’ll cost you more than 59 copies of the regular game just to get in the door

Warhorse Studios is holding a charity auction for three autographed collector’s editions of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, one for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S respectively. If you’re keen to participate, be prepared as the bidding has already surpassed $3,500.

In its unique fashion, The Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Collector’s Edition is quite appealing. It includes a figurine of Henry and his steed, a heartening letter, enamel pins, collectible cards, a fabric map, and the gold version of the game, neatly packaged in an impressively large container. Typically, these packages retail for around $200, which, considering what they offer, seems reasonable compared to similar items.

According to GamesRadar’s findings, these items being auctioned off by Warhorse are not only autographed by significant members of Warhorse Studios but also the main actors from the game, specifically Tom McKay as Henry and Luke Dale as Hans. What makes these auctions particularly enticing is that they come with a hefty price tag: Bidding on the Xbox version can reach as high as $710, the PlayStation 5 CE has reached bids of $1,025, and the PC edition is currently going for an astonishing $3,550.

It is clear to me that there’s a reasoning behind this difference: While it may be based on personal experiences rather than hard data, I’ve observed that passion for such unusual merchandise is often more prevalent within the gaming community focused on personal computers compared to other fan bases.

I must admit, these boxes are quite beyond my budget, which is slightly frustrating, but in reality, it’s a positive aspect. Warhorse shares that proceeds from the auctions will be directed towards Cesta Domů, a Czech Republic-based organization offering home hospice care and counseling to terminally ill patients. Occasionally, I may grumble about inflation in the collecting world, but here, the more money raised, the better—let’s keep adding to that fund.

Before the ultimate bidder is announced, those bids are likely to increase further: The gaming console auctions conclude at 1:30 pm ET on February 27, whereas the PC auction continues until the identical hour on March 1. Best of luck to you and your wallets!
