Aubrey Plaza, Susan Sarandon, & More Join The Office Star’s Movie

Actresses Aubrey Plaza, a nominee for the Golden Globe Award, and Susan Sarandon, an Academy Award winner, have confirmed their participation in the upcoming movie titled “The Accompanist“. Alongside them, Everly Carganilla, known for her role in “Spy Kids: Armageddon”, has been cast as one of the main characters.

The project is the first feature-length directorial venture of Zach Woods, known for his work on The Office and Silicon Valley. He co-wrote the screenplay with Brandon Gardner, a long-time collaborator. This film marks a significant step in Woods’ career, having previously directed short films like David (2020) and Bud (2021). In the story, when 9-year-old Emily (Carganilla) inadvertently reveals to her school nurse that her grandpa with dementia nearly endangered them, a novice social worker named Sarah (Plaza) is dispatched to their home for an investigation.
