Attacks on Tesla property labeled ‘domestic terrorism’ by Attorney General Bondi

Lately, facilities associated with Tesla have experienced acts of violence. Some charging stations were torched in Boston, while gunfire was reported at dealerships in Oregon. Following these incidents, Florida’s Attorney General, Bondi, has categorized these actions as instances of homegrown terrorism.

On March 18, 2025, Attorney General Pamela Bondi’s office issued a statement about the recent incidents involving Tesla property. In the statement, Bondi described the incidents as acts of “domestic terrorism” that they will continue to investigate thoroughly. They are also on the lookout for any individuals orchestrating these crimes from behind the scenes and providing financial support.

Here is the full statement from Bondi:

A series of aggressive assaults on Tesla premises are not just ordinary crimes; they border on acts of domestic terrorism. The Department of Justice has already indicted several suspects for such actions, some carrying a minimum sentence of five years. We will persist in our investigations to bring stern penalties upon those responsible for these attacks, including those orchestrating from the shadows to organize and finance these criminal activities.

In late January 2025, Tesla announced its Q4 2024 earnings report, falling short of both EPS and revenue estimates. Since then, the company has been facing turbulent times. Back in December 2024, the stock price was around $479; however, it’s now dropped to about $225, indicating investor discontent with Elon Musk.

It seems like the incidents at Tesla facilities could be linked to Musk’s actions post Trump becoming president. With a falling stock value and growing customer discontent, we’ll eagerly wait to see Tesla’s reaction when they release their Q1 2025 financial report.
