Atomic Heart 2 confirmed with massive RPG elements as studio also works on new FPSMMO game as well

Mundfish has unveiled Atomic Heart 2, an impressive follow-up to their highly popular open-world first-person shooter game. This upcoming title was revealed alongside other anticipated releases such as Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, Mortal Shell 2 and others. The sequel appears to surpass its predecessor in many aspects.

Atomic Heart 2 announced

During the yearly gaming convention, Atomic Heart 2 is set to reintroduce players to the “Atomic Universe,” offering an opportunity to delve deeper into the quirky, sci-fi setting of this series in an alternate reality. Players will traverse a fresh environment filled with novel weapons, adversaries, and other surprises.

After achieving 10 million sales of its initial version, the forthcoming sequel emphasizes a broadened storyline, role-playing game (RPG) aspects, and increased player autonomy. Constructed using Unreal Engine 5, this new installment in the series aspires to envelop players within a dynamic gaming environment, boasting an advanced combat system that incorporates both melee and ranged weaponry.

In this idyllic realm filled with marvels and flawlessness, humans coexisted amicably with their devoted and zealous mechanical counterparts, as depicted in the game’s synopsis. Yet, the introduction of sophisticated robotics and artificial intelligence was supposed to usher in an epoch of tranquility and wealth. Regrettably, it has instead plunged into pandemonium. Atomic Heart II resumes with a world on the verge of ruin. It falls upon you to halt its destruction. The reality is more complex than one might imagine.

Atomic Heart 2 is expected to release on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and PC.

The Cube MMO

In addition to the unveiling of Atomic Heart 2, developer Mundfish has also disclosed details about another project: a title known as The Cube. This upcoming game is an MMOFPS (Massively Multiplayer Online First-Person Shooter) set within a rotating cube universe. Players will engage not only in player versus player combat, but also face challenges posed by the environment itself.

Additionally, this upcoming MMOFPS game is also based in the “Atomic Universe”, providing players with additional insights and tales about the eccentric, futuristic alternate world it presents. At present, little information is available on the forthcoming MMO, and a launch date remains undisclosed.
