Asphalt Legends Unite: Guide on How to Use Nitro

As a dedicated Asphalt fan since the days of Urban GT, I can confidently say that I’ve seen Nitro evolve from a mere speed boost to a game-changing mechanic. From the humble Yellow Nitro to the powerful Purple Shockwave, each one has its unique role in the race.

Since the debut of “Asphalt Urban GT” in 2004, Nitro has been a staple in the Asphalt series of games. Players have been maximizing this resource since then, with varying levels of success. Over time, Nitro has undergone changes and transformations, providing both breathtaking victories and heart-wrenching last-second defeats.

In the thrilling world of Asphalt Legends Unite, I’ve discovered four distinct types of boosters – Yellow, Blue, Orange, and Purple Nitros. This guide will walk you through the best ways to leverage each one for maximum racing advantage!

Yellow Nitro

At activation, the base level of Nitro exhibits a radiant, yellow glow. It provides a single, swift surge that enhances your overall velocity.

This feature is particularly handy for passing the car ahead, navigating gentle bends, or sustaining top speed on straightaways. Unfortunately, though, its power isn’t sufficient to handle uneven terrains such as grassy areas or sidewalks.

Blue Nitro

Advancing from Yellow Nitro, we have the Blue Nitro, also called the Perfect Nitro. It’s ideal for navigating turns and preserving speed over challenging terrains. These boosts typically last around five seconds, so plan your moves carefully while utilizing this extra power.

As a devoted racer, I must say, pulling off a Perfect Nitro in games like Asphalt 8: Airborne can be quite the challenge! For those who are new to this thrill, it all starts with pressing the Nitro button. Once the Nitro bar shrinks and touches the blue line, that’s your cue to press the Nitro button again for a perfect activation of the Perfect Nitro!

As a gamer, remember to be mindful of that nitro boost – it might make handling your vehicle tricky, so grab hold tight! Also, don’t expect a huge lift from the Perfect Nitro while you’re airborne.

Orange Nitro

Moving forward from the last two versions, we have the Orange Nitro. This isn’t a flawless acceleration booster, but rather an imperfect yet potent speed-up, delivering substantial speed both on the ground and while in flight. Despite its imperfections, it remains an extraordinary boost for tight corners and less smooth terrains.

As a gamer, I can tell you that firing up the Orange Nitro requires a quick double-tap on the Nitro button. This tiny but mighty boost could mean the difference between victory and defeat, so timing its usage strategically is crucial. Pros in the world of Asphalt often unleash this power right before they jump, ensuring their speed during mid-air surpasses that of others.

Purple Shockwave Nitro

In the thrilling world of Asphalt Legends Unite, it’s me who’s always on the lookout for that edge to win every race. And let me tell you, nothing beats the adrenaline rush of the Shockwave! This Nitro is a fan-favorite comeback from Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and Asphalt 7: Heat. Its distinctive purple glow is as iconic as its performance. When I tap that Shockwave, it delivers an unmatched acceleration boost, giving me the extra push I need to cross the finish line first!

When the Nitro tank is completely filled, quickly tap the Nitro button twice to trigger it. This feature works best for achieving your vehicle’s maximum speed. It is particularly handy following an accident, a knockdown, respawning, or escaping tight bends, such as the Exit of the Cairo 360 Turn.

How Do You Get Nitro in Asphalt Legends Unite?

There are three main actions to get Nitro. The first way is to Drift. Simply tap the Drift button to do so. Drifting is arguably the slowest way to build up your Nitro bar. The longer the drift, the higher the recharge.

Additionally, while racing, don’t forget to gather Nitro containers scattered around the track. Be vigilant, particularly if you’re not utilizing the TouchDrive aid. If you are, pay attention to the Nitro icons that show up on your screen.

One alternative approach is to carry out maneuvers such as a full 360 spin and barrel rolls. To execute the 360 spin, simply double-tap the drift button. For the barrel roll, look for ramps strategically placed on maps. Jump onto one of these ramps not just for some extra height but also to receive a significant boost in your Nitro gauge.
