Recently, images claimed to be from the Oblivion remaster have been leaked – this follows numerous rumors and years after a Microsoft court document hinted at the project. It seems we’re going for another nostalgic journey.

Initially, we encounter a bizarre, surreal scene reminiscent of the dreams where you’re aware of being asleep, but everything seems irrational and nonsensical, yet somehow logical. In this scenario, an individual is struggling to grasp the use of his bow, despite his best efforts. This intriguing tableau appears to be inspired by the rough-edged quality of 2006 Bethesda productions.

Next, we have a timeless hit from Oblivion, one you’re surely familiar with. It’s the one where Devoted Follower longs to pay tribute to every step you take. But when you ask him to leave because it’s inappropriate, he scurries off like a startled mouse. Poor chap.

And another classic: the “Farewell” before Fithragaer gets squashed in a trap.

“Snowfall. We yearn for more snow. Seems like it’s never enough snow.” (The camera then shows an NPC deeply buried in the snow, who simply responds, “Yes, indeed.”) This is a humorous scene that seems to be only possible within the realm of the Oblivion engine.
