At the Epic Cons’ I Was Feeling Epic 3 convention held in Covington, Georgia on April 6, 2025, stars from The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, confirmed their romance by sharing a kiss. This town is famous among fans as the backdrop for the show’s fictional Mystic Falls. In a video taken by fans at the event, Somerhalder can be seen presenting Kebbel with a bouquet of flowers, then embracing and kissing her.

A fan shared a video of the duo on Instagram using the handle @tvd_brasilrn, tagging it as “I love a couple ❤️ The ultimate romantic.” Kebbel appeared to endorse the relationship by commenting with three heart emojis. Yet, neither Kebbel nor Roerig have publicly acknowledged or posted about each other on their individual social media accounts officially.
Zach Roerig is best known for his role as Matt Donovan in the popular supernatural TV series, “The Vampire Diaries” on The CW. Arielle Kebbel played Lexi Branson, a close vampire friend of Stefan Salvatore, with their characters sharing significant screen time during the show. Interestingly, this on-screen duo reunited not just in Mystic Falls, but also in 2023 for the Hallmark Channel film “Love in the Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance.
At present, Kebbel is portraying Emily “Em” Wright in the 2024 action drama titled Rescue: HI-Surf. On the other hand, Roerig was last seen in the 2022 dramatic series, Step Up: High Water.
