As a longtime fan of professional wrestling, I have had the privilege of witnessing some truly iconic moments and legendary tag teams throughout the years. Among those who stand out are The Hardy Boyz – Matt and Jeff Hardy. Their return to TNA after a stint in AEW has brought back fond memories and added an exciting new chapter to their storied careers.
More recently, The Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff, who previously held the tag team titles in WWE, rejoined TNA following their departure from AEW. Displeased with their role in AEW, they chose not to extend their agreements there.
At Rebellion, Matt Hardy kicked off the Hardy Boyz‘ return to TNA with an unexpected appearance, reviving his renowned “Broken” persona. He attacked the current TNA World Champion, Moose. Several months passed before Jeff Hardy joined his brother at Against All Odds, officially bringing back the legendary tag team in TNA.
The latest collaboration between WWE and TNA has fueled rumors of a Hardy Boyz comeback in WWE. As NXT performers move between the two companies, conditions appear favorable for a Hardy Brothers’ reunion.
NXT tag team champion Nathan Frazer has openly stated his wish to face off against the renowned Hardy Boyz duo in a dream match. Surprisingly, the Hardy Boys have acknowledged Frazer’s challenge, suggesting a potential return to WWE.

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy drop hints at WWE return
Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy recently spoke with Sportskeeda’s Wrestling in an interview. In response to a challenge from Nathan Frazer, the Hardy brothers hinted that they have their sights set on the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships.
Matt Hardy expressed, “In the world of wrestling, it’s best not to rule anything out. We haven’t claimed the NXT Tag Team Titles yet, so we’re intrigued by that opportunity. I’m thrilled about this blend of NXT and TNA. It’s invigorating and full of surprises – which can only benefit the business and wrestling industry as a whole.”
Additionally, Jeff Hardy expressed his thoughts on the challenge. He shared, “The novelty of first-time events really appeals to me, and NXT’s unique perspective is genuinely enticing. When my wife informed me that Matt had joined TNA, I was completely unaware.”
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I watched the footage. “Oh my god,” I muttered to myself, shaking my head in disbelief. Deep within me, my soul spoke, “There’s no way we’re returning to TNA.” I let that thought sit heavy on my mind, but then I remembered all the incredible moments and memories I had created there. It was down to the wire, and after a heartfelt conversation, I agreed to go back. Something inside me just felt right, as if this was the path that was meant for me. And with the Joe Hendry deal in NXT, all the excitement and new opportunities – it seemed like everything was falling into place for a reason.
