As a die-hard fan of Allu Arjun, I must say that I’ve been through quite a rollercoaster of emotions lately, with the ongoing saga within the Mega family. Being a part of this fandom for years, I’ve witnessed their camaraderie and unity, so the rumors of a rift among them have been quite unsettling.
Since the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections, supporters of the Mega family have been growing increasingly divided. Allu Arjun paid a visit to Nandyal to back YSR Congress Party MLA Silpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy, while his uncle Pawan Kalyan ran as an opposition candidate in the assembly election. Following his victory, the actor-turned-politician assumed the role of deputy Chief Minister of AP, which has further fueled the divide among fans.
It became noticeable that Allu Arjun was backing a YSRC party MLA, which sparked speculation online about a potential rift within the Mega family. However, during a recent press gathering in Hyderabad, producers Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar of Pushpa 2: The Rule addressed these rumors.
When asked if a reported family disagreement could affect the movie’s ticket sales, Naveen conceded that there were minor election-related issues. He expressed, “Although there may have been slight incidents during the elections, setting politics aside, I believe their fans would still be eager to see the film. The family is on good terms with each other.
Ravi swiftly made it clear that there wasn’t any disagreement among Arjun, his family members, as he emphasized that the actor remained neutral during the elections and visited Nandyal merely to stand by a friend.
Naveen stated, “During the launch of Kalki 2898 AD, we encountered the Deputy Chief Minister who was incredibly helpful. I’m confident that we will continue to receive his assistance as well.
For those not aware, previously Allu Arjun made a statement about his visit to Nandyal. In essence, he wanted to make clear that he has no political allegiances. He maintains neutrality and supports everyone, including his relative Pawan Kalyan, whom he will always stand by, as well as his friend Ravi and his father-in-law, Mr. Reddy. This is the statement made by the actor in the movie “Pushpa”.
A report from Hindustan Times states that Allu Arjun has been accused of violating the election code of conduct by attending a large public event for which he did not have proper permission, as claimed in the invitation extended to him by the MLA. However, Arjun has now presented a plea to the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking the dismissal of this case against him.
