Ever since gracing the screens alongside Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan in Vidaamuyarchi, I’ve found myself catapulted into the limelight. My role as the villain brought me closer to cinematic greats like Regina Cassandra and Arjun Sarja. Yet amidst all this success, a chilling memory from the film set continues to haunt me.
In an interview with CNN-News 18, Arav recounted a spooky incident during a car scene they were filming together with Ajith Kumar in a Hummer. He jokingly asked if the vehicle could flip over, to which Ajith responded it wouldn’t happen just yet. However, only moments later, the car suddenly spun out of control and flipped, as if it had understood their conversation.
Arav had a feeling something wasn’t right, but he placed absolute trust in Ajith. Fortunately, their Hummer withstood the collision effectively. The team needed just five minutes to arrive at them, yet throughout this time, Ajith maintained his composure. He smashed the window and checked if they were unhurt. In due course, he personally escorted Arav to the hospital for a check-up. When their vehicle flipped, the only thing Ajith uttered was, “Oh my god.
Despite the accident, Mr. Ajith got out of the car, shattered the window to reach me. He seemed anxious because there might have been an explosion. At that moment, a lot of thoughts were rushing through my mind. My wife had just given birth a few weeks prior, and I was praying for our safety, for Mr. Ajith, and hoping the film project wouldn’t be delayed,” Arav commented.
Later on, Arav explained that no major incident occurred. Despite this, Ajith was resolved to drive him to the hospital personally. During their journey, Ajith talked about things Arav could never discuss with others. Yet, those whispered secrets would remain etched in his memory for a lifetime.
In a different phrasing: Vidaamuyarchi was written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni, inspired by Breakdown by Jonathan Mostow. Subaskaran Allirajah served as the producer for this project, which stars Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, and Arav. The cinematography was managed by Om Prakash, while N. B. Srikanth handled the editing process. The music for the film was created by Anirudh Ravichander.
