On January 6th, music maestro AR Rahman turns 57, and his unique talent continues to stand out in our nation’s music industry. Fans worldwide are expressing their joy on this special day, while messages of congratulations from colleagues, friends, and family within the industry are also spreading across social media platforms. For example, renowned choreographer and dancer Prabhudeva has penned a heartfelt birthday wish for AR Rahman.
On X (previously known as Twitter), Prabhudeva shared an unique video of him, showcasing two young children imitating his legendary dance moves from the song “Muqabla”. Notably, this song was both sung and composed by A.R. Rahman.

Additionally, the choreographer penned, “Even the young dancer performing for A.R. Rahman, his enchantment never ceases to amaze us. We adore you, sir! Wishing you a very happy birthday!
Apart from this, AR Ameen, the son of AR Rahman, shared a touching birthday message for his father on his Instagram page as well.

Returning to the subject of the longstanding friendship spanning over a decade between AR Rahman and Prabhudeva, it’s worth noting that they have teamed up for some truly legendary projects in the past.
In addition to their popular song “Muqabla”, they’ve also produced a variety of lively and timeless songs such as “Urvashi”, “Petta Rap”, “Chiku Buku Raile”, “Romeo Aatam” among many others.
In 2019, I couldn’t contain my excitement when the dynamic duo remade their 1999 hit “Muqabla” for the blockbuster movie Street Dancer, featuring none other than the charismatic Varun Dhawan and the stunning Shraddha Kapoor. I was absolutely thrilled to see them bring this classic track back to life!
2024 saw me, a die-hard fan, practically jumping with joy when the legendary singing-dancing duo announced they were teaming up once more, after a whopping 25 years! This time around, it seems the project goes by the working title of ARRPD6. Can’t wait to see what magic they’ll weave together!
