AR Rahman reflects on impending chaos in music due to AI: ‘Some songs are so filthy…’

Recently, AR Rahman caused a stir by expressing his views on the role of AI in music during an interview with Mashable India. The renowned musician spoke about the potential turmoil in the music sector as a result of artificial intelligence.

He stated, “It’s unclear who will assume accountability. Some tunes are so vulgar, yet they’re distributed by well-known artists. This situation calls for regulation to prevent disorder.

In that same interview, AR Rahman discussed extensively his efforts to blend AI-created music into Indian films, similar to the employment of sophisticated visual effects. Regarding this technological innovation, he expressed his thoughts as follows: “I’ve been experimenting with Unreal Engine and I am establishing a virtual band featuring metahumans. It’s an incredibly diverse group, and each member comes from the digital realm.

Rahman’s latest single from Thug Life, entitled Jinguchaa, has been creating quite a buzz online since its release. This energetic track, written by Kamal Haasan, includes Silambarasan TR and Sanya Malhotra showcasing their moves to the lively rhythm.
