Apple TV+ Free Weekend Announced, 2025 Date Revealed

As a hardcore gamer and a dedicated Apple TV+ subscriber for several years, I am beyond excited for this upcoming free weekend! With my busy gaming schedule, it can be tough to find time to catch up on all the great shows that Apple TV+ has to offer. But now, with the entire platform available for free, I’ll finally have the chance to binge-watch some of the highly-acclaimed series like The Morning Show, Severance, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Silo and Slow Horses.

Not only that, but I’m also looking forward to checking out the latest movie offerings such as Wolfs starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney; The Instigators starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck; Fly Me to the Moon starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum; and The Family Plan starring Mark Wahlberg.

I’ve been eagerly anticipating several new shows that are set to debut in 2025, including thriller miniseries Prime Target with Leo Woodall, the crime drama Dope Thief with Brian Tyree Henry, the drama Your Friends and Neighbors with Jon Hamm, and the workplace comedy The Studio with Seth Rogen. I’ve always been a fan of Apple Studios’ productions, so I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next year.

The cherry on top is that Apple Studios is set to release two high-profile movies next year in the form of the genre-bending action movie The Gorge starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller, and the sport drama F1 starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.

I can’t help but wonder if Apple TV+ will ever go back to being a paid service again after this generous gesture. But for now, I’m going to take full advantage of this free weekend and immerse myself in the vast array of entertainment that Apple TV+ has to offer. I just hope they don’t expect me to put down my controller for more than a few hours at a time!

By the way, I heard a joke that goes like this: Why was the Apple TV+ executive so happy after the free weekend announcement? Because he finally had something that everyone could afford to stream!

To kick off the opening weekend of 2025, Apple TV+ is offering a complimentary all-inclusive pass to its esteemed collection of shows and films for their customers. This generous gesture follows over five years since Apple TV+’s grand debut in 2019 when it officially launched.
