Apartment 7A Trailer Previews Paramount+’s Rosemary’s Baby Prequel

As a lifelong fan of suspenseful films, particularly those that delve into the supernatural and the unsettling, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming release of Apartment 7A. Having grown up on Rosemary’s Baby, the original tale of a young woman drawn into a sinister web of mystery and horror, I can hardly wait to dive deeper into the world created by Roman Polanski.

The streaming service Paramount+ has unveiled the trailer for the long-awaited series titled “Apartment 7A“, which serves as a prequel to Rosemary’s Baby and stars multiple Golden Globe winner Julia Garner. This production seeks to shine light on Terry Gionoffrio, a character previously played by Victoria Vetri.

In the upcoming prequel, we’ll encounter Terry again – a character from Roman Polanski’s 1968 horror masterpiece who was battling addiction. Rosemary Woodhouse (originally portrayed by Mia Farrow) had a chance encounter with Terry in the basement laundry room. Not long after, Terry was found dead, seemingly having taken her own life by jumping from a high-rise apartment on the seventh floor.

What is in the Apartment 7A trailer?

In the beginning of the Apartment 7A trailer, we see Terry (played by Garner), who had gone to New York with dreams of being a stage actress. But a mishap during a performance dramatically altered the course of Terry’s life.

To embark on a fresh phase of her life, she decides to rent an apartment from the Castevets. Later, she comes to understand that this elderly duo wasn’t as they seemed and might have committed some heinous act against the former tenant. As per the summary, the series Apartment 7A delves into “the events that transpired in the apartment before Rosemary moved in.”

Even though Terry didn’t have a significant role in the initial movie, fans will finally witness the series of events that culminate in her demise when Apartment 7A premieres on Paramount+ on September 27. Take a look at the trailer right here:

In this movie I’m talking about, I play a character amidst an ensemble cast. It’s rated R for scenes containing violence and drug use. Dianne Wiest takes on the role of Minnie Castevet, while Kevin McNally portrays Roman Castevet. Amy Leeson steps into the shoes of Rosemary, and Scott Hume is Guy Woodhouse. Joining us are Jim Sturgess, Marli Siu, Rosy McEwen, Andrew Buchan, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith. That’s quite a lineup, isn’t it?

This project is overseen by John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller as producers, with Vicki Dee Rock and Alexa Ginsburg in the role of executive producers.

Apartment 7A premieres on Paramount+ on September 27.
