As a huge fan of classic horror films, I am beyond excited to delve deeper into the intriguing backstory of Apartment 7A. The first-look images released for this prequel to Roman Polanski’s iconic 1968 film Rosemary’s Baby have piqued my curiosity and heightened my anticipation.
As a movie enthusiast with a soft spot for psychological thrillers and a deep appreciation for the classics, I’m beyond excited about the recent unveiling of the first-look images for “Apartment 7A.” This upcoming production is a prequel to Roman Polanski’s iconic 1968 horror masterpiece, Rosemary’s Baby.
In Rosemary’s Baby, Terry was initially introduced as a former drug addict that Rosemary encountered in the basement laundry room. Later on, unfortunately, Terry took her own life, which was reportedly done by jumping from the height of a seventh-floor apartment.
In the movie, while the character’s background leading up to Terry’s death isn’t thoroughly explained, viewers can uncover all the events that transpired by streaming Apartment 7A on Paramount+ starting September 27. Take a peek at the exclusive photos below, brought to you by Vanity Fair.
What is Apartment 7A about?
I’m excited to delve into the backstory of Apartment 7A, transporting myself back to 1965 New York City. Instead of focusing on the chilling occurrences in Rosemary’s Baby, I’ll explore the events that transpired within this very apartment before the nightmare began.
According to the summary, the TV show Apartment 7A will delve into the backstory of Rosemary’s Baby’s famous horror apartment. When a struggling young dancer experiences a terrible injury, she is lured in by mysterious forces when an older, influential couple offers her a chance at success.
As a film critic with over a decade of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of movies that carry a Rated R warning for mature content. But when I came across “Apartment 7A,” I was intrigued by its all-star cast and the ominous tone of its rating.
John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller are the producers of Apartment 7A. Vicki Dee Rock and Alexa Ginsburg hold executive producer roles. The script for this project was collaboratively written by James, Christian White, and Skylar James.
