Anya Taylor-Joy Wants To Be In an Avatar Movie: ‘It’s My Dream To Be a Na’vi’

The “Avatar” film series, popularly known in Hollywood as one of the best sci-fi productions, holds a special place for many fans, including talented actress Anya Taylor-Joy. In fact, her dream is to be part of this franchise someday.

What did Anya Taylor-Joy say about Avatar?

At the premiere of her latest film titled “The Gorge,” Taylor-Joy addressed Entertainment Tonight’s questions concerning a remark made by Sigourney Weaver. Weaver expressed her hope that director James Cameron would watch “The Gorge,” and perhaps cast Taylor-Joy in an Avatar movie as a consequence.

Taylor-Joy expressed her long-held wish to potentially portray a character from the Na’vi species, who inhabit the moon of Pandora, and be the central figure in the Avatar movies at some point.

Taylor-Joy expressed her wish by saying, “My dream is to be like the Na’vi characters from that movie I watched eight times consecutively once. After a party, watching it again seemed just right – it was perfect.

Although it’s yet undecided if Anya Taylor-Joy will realize her ambition to portray a Na’vi character, there are certainly many prospects ahead due to the expansive future of the Avatar franchise. So far, only two films have been released, but director James Cameron has outlined his intentions for multiple additional movies.

Next up is “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third installment in the series, due out on December 19, 2025. After that, a fourth and fifth movie are scheduled for release on December 21, 2029, and December 19, 2031, respectively. According to producer Jon Landau, one-third of Avatar 4 has already been filmed alongside Fire and Ash, with additional filming planned after the release of Fire and Ash.
