According to Deadline’s report, Anthony Ramos and Ben Mendelsohn are set to appear in the upcoming horror film titled “Molepeople,” where they portray characters dwelling beneath New York City.
What do we know about Molepeople?
At this point, it’s unclear what roles Ramos and Mendelsohn will play in the film. However, the movie is said to be a chilling horror production that follows a man’s harrowing journey into the deserted subterranean tunnels beneath New York City streets, where a deformed society resides.
The upcoming movie is set to be helmed by Rob Savage, a director known for his work on “The Boogeyman” (2023), “Dashcam” (2021), and “Host” (2020), all in the horror genre. Part of its production will be handled by Raphael Margules and J.D Lifshitz from BoulderLight Pictures.
According to Hugh Grumbar from Embankment Film, who manages international sales, “Molepeople delivers a contemporary audience with chills and excitement, keeping them gripped with intense fear. Rob’s direction is sophisticated; BoulderLight’s grasp of modern viewers is exceptional – and these filmmakers are leaders in their field.
Known primarily for his acclaimed performance in Hamilton on Broadway, Ramos has also made a name for himself in various notable productions such as the film version of In the Heights, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and an upcoming project called Twisters in 2024.
Mendelsohn is a renowned figure in the realm of acting, best known for his roles in films such as “The Year My Voice Broke,” “Animal Kingdom,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Rogue One,” “Ready Player One,” “Captain Marvel,” and many others.
