Amazon Studios, through MGM, has unveiled a sneak peek of the upcoming sequel to the 2018 black comedy mystery “A Simple Favor”, titled “Another Simple Favor“. The film will make its global debut at the 2025 South by Southwest Film Festival on March 7. Following this, it will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting May 1.
In the movie, Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson meet up on the stunning Italian island of Capri for Emily’s lavish wedding to a wealthy Italian entrepreneur. Alongside other glamorous attendees, be prepared for intrigue and deceit as they crash the wedding, with more plot twists than the winding path from Marina Grande to the town square in Capri.

What happens in the Another Simple Favor teaser trailer?
The video starts off showing Anna Kendrick’s character Stephanie Smothers, who is taken aback when Blake Lively’s Emily Nelson unexpectedly appears and invites her to a wedding in Italy. The rest of the cast includes Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, Elena Sofia Ricci, along with Henry Golding and Allison Janney.
Yet again, Paul Feig takes the helm as director for the movie titled Another Simple Favor, penned by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis in collaboration with characters initially conceived by Darcey Bell. The film is supervised by Jennifer Booth, Sharzer, and Marco Valerio Pugini, while Feig and Laura Fischer produce it. Running at 120 minutes, this intriguing production has garnered an impressive Certified Fresh rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 258 reviews for the first installment.
