As a longtime PlayStation fan with a heart full of nostalgia for the web-slinging adventures of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, I can’t contain my excitement! After years of console exclusivity and countless hours spent battling New York City’s criminal underworld as Peter Parker, it’s finally time to swing through the city that never sleeps on my trusty gaming rig.
At the Marvel Stage during New York Comic Con, it was disclosed that the computer version of Spider-Man 2 will be available for purchase starting January 30, 2025.
After one year on the PS5, PC players can rejoice!
Under Sony’s latest approach, an increasing number of Sony’s intellectual properties are making their way onto personal computers. Initially launched for the PS5 on October 20, 2023 as Spider-Man 2, the sequel is now accessible to PC gamers approximately a year and three months later.
Confidently speaking, the team behind the PC version is skilled in bringing such games to life, so we’re optimistic it will be fantastic. Notably, Nixxes Software Productions has been instrumental in porting Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Forbidden West, and the latest Tomb Raider trilogy to PC platforms.
Ragnarök, that later got a port for PC, was criticized due to the requirement of having a PS account. It remains uncertain if they will do the same with Spider-Man 2.
