With the hotly anticipated release of The Penguin, Matt Reeves’ Batman universe continues to grow.
Based on his expected success, Reeves has now announced that he’s also developing another Batman-related television series.
The Batman Spinoff Show Universe
During an interview with The Direct, Matt Reeves was inquired about the speculation surrounding the cancellation of the Arkham Asylum series. Specifically, they wanted to know if the introduction of the character Sofia Falcone stemmed from unutilized aspects of the potential Arkham Asylum series.
Reeves replied:
Her ideas and the story elements that relate to [Sofia Falcone], those are all new ideas for her and have nothing to do with the other series that we’re continuing to do.
It’s uncertain what the upcoming spinoff series will focus on, but it’s clear that they are working on something. This might imply that the Arkham Asylum show is in development, or it could also mean we may get a series centered around another character like Harvey Dent.
