After two long years, fans were able to see Anna Kournikova in person, although she was using a wheelchair. The 43-year-old, who is now a model and formerly a tennis player, was also wearing an orthopedic boot during her visit to Bal Harbour Shops in Miami, Florida. At this point, it’s unclear what caused Kournikova’s injury.

Anna Kournikova, mother of three with partner Enrique Iglesias, was seen out with her two daughters, some friends, and an unidentified woman who assisted her in a wheelchair. The New York Post captured photos of Kournikova, dressed casually in black hoodie and sweatpants, in the parking lot of Miami shopping centers she visited.

Despite looking wheelchair-bound worrying some, Anna Kournikova has had a history of injuries throughout her career, even post-retirement. At just 14, she burst onto the WTA Tour and quickly captured the attention of the tennis world with her promising talent. In her flourishing years, she excelled particularly in doubles, winning two Australian Open titles alongside Martina Hingis, a tennis legend. For a short while, Kournikova even held the World No. 1 ranking in doubles.

Despite recurring fitness problems, Kournikova retired from tennis at the age of 21. Since then, she’s been living a rather secluded life with her partner, Enrique Iglesias, whom she has been with since 2001. Together, they have had three children: Mary, and twins Lucy and Nicholas.
