Woman of the Hour is based on the true story of real-life serial killer Rodney Alcala’s 1978 appearance on the popular game show The Dating Game. While appearing as a contestant on an episode of the show, Alcala was in the midst of a yearslong killing spree. He ends up winning a date with bachelorette and aspiring actress Cheryl Bradshaw. The crime thriller revolves around the crossing of paths between him and her.
Daniel Zovatto takes on the role of notorious serial killer Rodney Alcala in the movie. He may be familiar to you from terror-filled films like “Beneath”, “It Follows”, “Don’t Breathe”, and “The Pope’s Exorcist” or TV series such as “Revenge”, “Fear the Walking Dead”, “Here and Now”, “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels”, and “Station Eleven”. Joining Zovatto, Kendrick, and other cast members are Nicolette Robinson portraying Laura, Tony Hale, Kathryn Gallagher, Kelley Jakle, and Autumn Best.
