Delico’s Nursery
Get ready for the long-awaited debut of Delico’s Nursery, the captivating gothic-fantasy anime series, on Crunchyroll starting on August 7, 2024. The exact broadcast time hasn’t been disclosed by Crunchyroll yet, but based on information from the anime’s official website, it will air every Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. Japan Standard Time (JST). For those in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), that means the show will air every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
At Delico’s Nursery, Masakazu Morita plays the role of Dali Delico, while Katauyuki Konishi takes on Gerhard Fra. Hiro Shimono is cast as Henrique Lorca, and Takuya Satō portrays Dino Classico. Furthermore, the talented ensemble also includes Rina Hidala as Uru Delico, Konomi Kohara as Lafaelo Delico, and Ayasa Itō as Angelica Fra.
Hiroshi Nishikiori leads the production of the anime at J.C. Staff, with Kenichi Suemitsu penning the scripts and handling the series’ composition. Additionally, Yōko Itō serves as the head animation director and character designer, while Shunsuke Wada, known for his work on Naruto, Demon Slayer, and My Hero Academia, is in charge of the music arrangements.
The anime originates from Kenichi Suemitsu’s 2009 stage play, TRUMP, which centers around Dali E’rco, a noble figure in the Blood Alliance Parliament. Due to his promising potential, he is considered the prime candidate for any upcoming missions.
In this universe where vamps and humans share the same world, the top authority, known as the Bloodsuckers, proposes a mission for him. Yet, Dali declines, causing annoyance among his council peers. The Pendulum, an antisocial group, poses a constant threat to vampires, and our tale unfolds around mysteries that touch upon the destiny of these blood-drinkers.
True Beauty by Studio N
In addition to being called ‘The Secret of Angel,’ True Beauty is an upcoming Korean anime series set to stream on Crunchyroll starting from August 7, 2024. This captivating series is being animated by Studio N and Cocktail Media, inspired by the renowned manhwa (Korean comic book) of the same name by author and illustrator Yaongyi. As of now, Crunchyroll has not disclosed the specific airtimes for dubbed or subtitled versions of this Original Net Animation (ONA).
The manhwa started being published on Naver Webtoon from April 2, 2018, and continued until June 28, 2023. Not long after, its English version of the romantic-comedy and slice-of-life manhwa amassed over 6 million subscribers by January 2022. Additionally, it ranked as the third most popular series on Webtoon in 2019.
Beginning December 9, 2020, the South Korean TV scene transformed the webtoon “True Beauty” into a popular drama series. The narrative mainly revolved around the high school plotline of the comic, infused with unique, fresh scenes that quickly captured the public’s interest.
At Anime NYC 2023’s panel, Crunchyroll revealed they had acquired the rights for an upcoming animated series, scheduling it to premiere during their summer schedule of 2024.
