Angry Young Men trailer: Toxic star Yash pays tribute to legendary writing duo Salim-Javed, calls their dialogues a 'philosophy'

As a long-time admirer of Hindi cinema, I found myself intrigued by the trailer for Angry Young Men: The Salim-Javed Story. The legendary duo, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, have always been revered for their revolutionary work in the 70s and 80s. It’s a fascinating journey to delve into their lives and understand how they shaped the industry we know today.

In a surprising twist, the notorious star Yash will feature in the teaser for the forthcoming documentary series Angry Young Men: The Salim-Javed Story. This series honors the iconic writing duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, whose groundbreaking work transformed Hindi cinema during the 70s and 80s. In the trailer, Yash is seen alongside notable figures from Bollywood such as Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, and Farhan Akhtar.

In contrast to Salman Khan’s apprehension in discussing his father Salim Khan’s tales, Yash recounts how the team of Salim-Javed was an extraordinary phenomenon. The star of KGF honored them by paying tribute and stating, “What makes those dialogues so memorable today? It’s because it wasn’t just dialogue; it was philosophy.”

Nevertheless, some spectators have expressed doubt about Yash’s appearance in the trailer, suggesting that it could be an effort to cash in on his popularity following the triumph of KGF, potentially implying it was not organically included.

As a lifestyle expert, I thoroughly enjoyed the series, particularly the mischievous antics, the power dynamics, and the dramatic fallout among the characters. However, I find myself pondering over the presence of Yash. It seems like an exciting addition to the storyline due to his role in KGF. I’m eagerly anticipating how his character will be skillfully integrated into the narrative.

In my fervent enthusiasm, I stumbled upon a comment that piqued my curiosity: “I found myself perplexed about Yash’s presence too, unless they’re attempting to portray him as the disgruntled youth in his role today for KGF. It seems Karan Johar might have some stake in this production as well.”

Additionally, another person noted, “Farhan Akhtar’s company distributed KGF in the northern regions, which suggests a possible connection. Given that Yash is known to appreciate the work of Salim-Javed, this collaboration seems fitting.”
