Normally when folks think about Star Wars, they tend to associate it with Jedi and Sith. In a distant galaxy, stories often revolve around individuals who can harness the Force. So, the series Andor and Cassian’s tale was quite refreshing and appreciated by fans as it offered a unique departure from the usual.
It has been a while since the conclusion of the first season, leaving fans curious about when the Disney+ series will resume. Unfortunately, Cassian won’t return in 2024, but Andor enthusiasts can look forward to the spring for exciting developments!
In case you were unable to catch the show, here’s a summary: The Disney series titled “Star Wars: Andor” offers a prequel narrative that sets the stage for the events in Rogue One. The central character is Cassian Andor, a spy and assassin portrayed by Diego Luna, who serves as our protagonist.
Andor Season 2 finally has a release date
Fans have eagerly anticipated a comeback of Cassian Andor in 2024, but unfortunately, Disney’s latest release schedule does not include him.
Rest assured, fans won’t have to wait long: Andor Season 2 is slated for release on Disney+ on April 22, 2025. Following our usual pattern, you can expect the new episodes to debut weekly, with a possible premiere of two or three episodes in April. Just as with the previous season, the upcoming one will consist of 12 episodes.
Andor’s Season 2 Time-Jumps, Like, A Lot
Tony Gilroy, creator of Andor, shared some intriguing details about the upcoming season (beware of spoilers!). In a chat with Polygon, he mentioned that one year will have elapsed since the ending of the first season when season 2 begins. Additionally, the storyline in season 2 will involve several time leaps, advancing the plot just a few days beyond certain events.
Following this disclosure, more details emerged about the sequence of events in the series. It seems that Andor season 2 will be divided into groups of three episodes, with each group depicting a year in the storyline. Given there are twelve episodes in total, this means that season 2 is expected to cover approximately four years of Cassian’s life.
In the second season of ‘ANDOR’, each cluster of three episodes covers approximately one full year.
