As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Alien: Isolation has been one of the most terrifying and immersive gaming experiences I’ve ever had. The original game, released six years ago, still stands as a testament to what a horror title should be – tense, atmospheric, and genuinely scary.


Today marks the 10th anniversary of the release of Alien: Isolation, the video game adaptation that’s become a modern horror staple from the beloved sci-fi franchise. And if you’re a fan of being scared, get ready because new terrors are in the works! That’s right, Creative Assembly and SEGA have officially confirmed they’re developing a sequel to Alien: Isolation.

In a letter to fans marking the 10th anniversary of Alien: Isolation, its creative director Al Hope announced that work on a sequel has begun. “I’m thrilled to tell you,” he penned on behalf of the team, “that a follow-up to Alien: Isolation is currently in its early stages.” He added, “We can’t wait to reveal more information when we’re prepared to do so.

Back in October 2014, Alien: Isolation was warmly received, with our Shacknews review among the positive responses. This game was praised for its sophisticated Xenomorph AI that learned and adjusted to player actions. To mark the anniversary, it’s currently on sale on Steam.

In the initial phase of creating the next installment for Alien: Isolation, it’s going to take some time before we can see definite images of the game. However, enthusiasts should rejoice as another part of this narrative is on its way.
