Amy Poehler to Star in Peacock Comedy Dig from Parks and Rec Co-Creator

Amy Poehler and her Parks & Recreation co-creator, Mike Schur, are joining forces yet again to create another humorous series titled “Dig,” which will be available on the streaming platform, Peacock.

What is Dig about?

In a fresh comedic production, we’ll trace the lives of four female archaeologists excavating a site in Greece at various stages. Upon uncovering an ancient mystery, they stumble upon a vast and intricate web of secrets, leading them into a grand conspiracy.

Poehler and Schur are teaming up to write and produce the pilot for this upcoming series, with J.J. Philbin also contributing as a writer and producer. Poehler will be appearing in the show, but there’s currently no word on who else might join the cast.

That series spanned seven seasons and over a hundred episodes! Post-Parks, I’ve dabbled in various projects such as voicing characters for Pixar’s Inside Out films, Sisters, Duncanville, and others. A group of four female archaeologists, each at distinct turning points in their lives, are unearthing ancient secrets in Greece. However, their discovery of a centuries-old mystery has the power to alter history itself, thrusting them into the heart of a dangerous global intrigue.
