As a dedicated follower, I’m excitedly anticipating the release of “The Raja Saab,” starring Prabhas and directed by Maruthi, which is set to premiere on the big screens on December 5, 2025. In preparation for this grand event, the makers have recently shared a captivating teaser, giving us a sneak peek into the hard work they’ve put in behind the scenes.
During the Raja Saab teaser event, the creators shared that the director dedicated 16 to 18 hours a day to ensure top-notch results.
The team stated, “We’ve made it known that the production of the movie spanned over two and a half years. The most challenging task we undertook was setting our extensive shooting schedule from late July/early August until the end of December following Kalki’s start.
As a keen observer, I can’t help but marvel at the dedication of Maruthi. From what I understand, he began his work at the crack of dawn, that is, 6 am, and kept going until eleven in the evening. This tireless commitment wasn’t a one-day affair; instead, it extended over a staggering 120 days! This is what I’ve gathered from the insights shared by producer TG Vishwa Prasad.
Additionally, the director explained that this film represents an epic cinematic journey, filled with intense drama and boasting a lengthy, 40-minute climactic sequence. Furthermore, they emphasized that the visual effects (VFX) took approximately 300 days to perfect in order to meet the highest standards.
Remarkably, the producer’s remark follows a conversation about actors’ work hours, where a significant number of people have advocated for an 8-hour workday.
The story in Raja Saab revolves around a young individual coveting an inherited estate. With aspirations to sell it for a massive profit, he decides to venture into a supposedly haunted manor. This decision ultimately alters his existence.
In the remainder of the horror-comedy flick, we see how the main character extricates himself from a tricky situation. Starring the charismatic Rebel Star, this movie boasts talents such as Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, Samuthirakani, and a host of other skilled actors.
Originally scheduled for a release on April 10, 2025, the movie has been pushed back due to ongoing production tasks. However, it’s now set to premiere on the big screen in December of this very year.
Regarding Prabhas’ ongoing projects, it’s worth noting that he’s immersed in the production of a historical film, temporarily known as “PrabhasHanu (Soldier)”. This project is set in the backdrop of a period.
Additionally, it’s announced that the Rebel Star is set to collaborate with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the upcoming cop action drama titled Spirit. The narrative revolves around a passionate young police officer, with Bollywood star Triptii Dimri cast as the joint lead in the film.
