Film director Prashanth Neel is renowned for producing blockbuster mass entertainment movies that leave a mark at the box office. From the Prabhas-led Salaar to the epic KGF series featuring Yash, he skillfully creates films that enthrall viewers with their expansive scope and high-octane action sequences.
Interestingly, Prashant Neel’s statement during a recent gathering has sparked intrigue. At this event, the director confessed an unexpected fact: none of the four films he has directed thus far resonate with the type of movies he prefers to watch on his own.
The director shared that his preference for movies stems not from watching mainstream blockbusters, but rather from elsewhere. Additionally, Prashanth expressed an interest in creating a movie similar to Inception or Hum Aapke Hain Koun, if given the opportunity, within the Southern film industry.
In contrast, it’s worth noting that the movie industry flourishes by catering to mass-appeal movies, particularly in the Southern regions, as these types of films significantly contribute to the industry’s prosperity.
Prashanth Neel expressed that if he had the freedom to choose, he would create a completely different type of films. He might have attempted something similar to Inception, or crafted a love story like Hum Aapke Hain Koun. However, factors like practicality, profitability, and market demand seem to point in another direction.
The KGF director openly acknowledged that he understands the type of films that bring in profits, hence he can’t always produce movies that match his personal preferences. However, Prashanth Neel clarified that, as a filmmaker, his main objective is not to create movies with social impact but rather to continue producing projects so he can sustain himself financially.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that in my next exciting project, I’ll be teaming up with Jr NTR for an upcoming high-octane action movie, currently known as NTR31. The cameras have already started rolling, and we’re eagerly waiting for the Telugu superstar to join us on set soon.
Moreover, Neel remains under the limelight, as he works on Salaar 2, the eagerly awaited follow-up to the action hit movie starring Prabhas.
