As a devoted fan of America’s Got Talent, I must admit that the suspense is killing me! The competition has been nothing short of extraordinary this season, and I’ve grown quite attached to these incredible acts. It’s a real bummer that our favorite Tuesday night escape will be interrupted by the presidential debate tonight. Don’t get me wrong; it’s important stuff, but can’t they do it on a different day? Or at least let us watch both at the same time with split-screen action?
America’s Got Talent has been entertaining the masses as we all wait for our favorite scripted series to come back. Fall TV is right around the corner which does mean the talent competition is heading into its final stretch of episodes.
Normally, we look forward to catching new episodes every Tuesday, but starting in August, this popular show has been an exciting must-see for fans of diverse acts on stage. However, tonight, unlike other weeks, NBC’s regular Tuesday program won’t be broadcast at 8 p.m. Eastern Time as scheduled.
On September 10th, we’re looking forward to the much-anticipated debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump, which will replace America’s Got Talent on TV that night. Even though ABC News is hosting the event, numerous other major networks like NBC, CBS, FOX, and others are planning to interrupt their normal programming to broadcast this significant occasion.
The debate commences at 9 p.m., however, NBC will broadcast a special called “Debate Countdown: Harris v. Trump” an hour beforehand, at 8 p.m. This one-hour show is expected to delve into potential questions for the candidates, the impact their performances could have on their campaigns, and the overall sentiment or atmosphere of the voters ahead of this encounter.
Regarding the debate, it will last approximately 90 minutes, followed by discussion on the event’s outcome. The TV network plans to switch to local programming at 11:30 PM before airing a new episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” at 11:34 PM.
When does America’s Got Talent return with new episodes?
It’s great news! You can watch the semi-finals this coming Wednesday, September 11, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Twelve acts will perform, but only six will advance to the finale. The results show won’t be aired until Thursday, September 12, also starting at 8 p.m., where we’ll discover which six acts made it to the finale.
Next week, I’m all set for America’s Got Talent’s season 19 finale! The Top 10 acts are gearing up to battle it out, each aiming to be crowned the winner and pocket a cool $1 million. Don’t forget to tune in – you wouldn’t want to miss this thrilling showdown! If you’ve missed some episodes, don’t worry, you can catch up on Peacock.
