In a recent chat with IndieWire, Sevigny expressed her interest in revisiting director Guadagnino for a potential new project. She proposed the idea of reprising her role as Jean, but this time with the use of de-aging technology to fit the storyline.

When I learned about the possibility of Luca Guadagnino directing something, I wasn’t certain if it was definite. I assumed he was working on a World War II film instead. I suggested to him that I reprise my role as Jean and we use reverse aging on me. I thought this idea would appeal to him, considering the concept of having the same actress play the same character. However, I’m not certain about his plans; he mentioned he was thinking of something else for me.

In the year 2000’s movie, Sevigny portrays the character of Jean, who works as Patrick Bateman’s (performed by Christian Bale) secretary. One evening, she visits Bateman’s apartment and is asked to depart by Bateman, fearing he might injure her. Towards the end of the film, Jean discovers a troubling journal belonging to Bateman in his office.

Previously, Sevigny and Guadagnino have collaborated, with Sevigny appearing in Guadagnino’s forthcoming film titled “After the Hunt.

Previously, news broke out that this film wouldn’t follow a remake format but rather, a fresh interpretation based on Bret Easton Ellis’ 1991 novel. At present, no details about the movie, such as its cast or production timeline, have been disclosed.

Over the past two years, Guadagnino has kept himself quite occupied. In 2022, he unveiled the romantic horror movie titled “Bones and All,” featuring Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet. The following year saw his return with “Challengers,” a romantic sports comedy-drama that starred Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist. Moreover, Guadagnino didn’t slow down in 2024 as he presented the historical romance drama “Queer” last November.
