As a long-time fan of American Pickers, I am deeply saddened by the passing of Frank Fritz. He was not just a co-host on a TV show for me; he was an adventurer, a dreamer, and a storyteller who brought history to life in the most captivating way.
As a die-hard fan and gamer, I’ve just got some sad news to share: One of my favorites from the history channel’s reality show, American Pickers, named Frank Fritz, has left us way too soon at the tender age of 60.
On Tuesday, it was shared on social media that the announcement was made by Fritz’s close friend and fellow host, Mike Wolf, who has worked with Fritz for over a decade on their show.
With deep sadness, I announce that Frank passed away last night, as Wolfe expressed in an Instagram post. Over half my life, I’ve known Frank, and what you saw on TV mirrored my experience – he was a dreamer with a soft heart and a great sense of humor. Behind the scenes, Frank was just as genuine; his authenticity touched countless hearts simply by being himself.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been hooked on the adventures of Fritz and Wolfe for over a decade now. You might know Wolfe as the mastermind behind American Pickers, but both of them were the stars. Over 350 episodes strong, our journey took us across America in search of unique treasures and captivating tales. In between our antiquing escapades, you could catch me popping up on Pawn Stars on the History Channel too!
It’s hard to imagine that we’d be co-pilots in a white van, broadcasting our adventures to millions of viewers, but here we are! Before the show started, we’d embark on journeys to unknown destinations, simply driven by our shared curiosity and enthusiasm for uncovering something intriguing and historically significant.
For countless adventures we’ve been through, and numerous miles we’ve covered together, I am grateful that I could be with him during his final homecoming trip,” Wolfe stated. “I love you, friend, and the thought of not being with you anymore fills me with such sadness. I believe you are now in a far better place.
ComingSoon sends its condolences to Fritz’s family and friends.
