Amazon (AMZN) issues Q1 2025 revenue forecast below analyst expectations

This week, Amazon (AMZN) unveiled its Q4 2024 earnings report and presented its outlook for the beginning of fiscal 2025. However, Amazon’s projected revenue for Q1 2025 fell short of analysts’ predictions. The company’s projection for the upcoming quarter was below both the minimum and maximum projections in their estimated range.

This week, Amazon published its projected earnings for the first quarter of 2025 on its investor relations website alongside its Q4 2024 results. In the details they disclosed, Amazon anticipates that its net sales will fall within a range of $151.0 billion to $155.5 billion for Q1 2025. However, financial analysts had hoped for figures above $158 billion.

Despite continuing to be highly profitable, Amazon is simultaneously pouring substantial resources into numerous projects. One such venture is a significant investment in nuclear and renewable energy power plants intended for regional power supply, as well as meeting the electricity needs of Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers.

Amazon’s Q1 2025 forecast might have fallen short, but the tech titan continues to dominate its industry without signs of slowing. Keep an eye on our platform for more updates on Amazon and other tech giants’ earnings reports as they are released, exclusively at Shacknews.
