The director shared that virtually any artist could have portrayed Major Mukund Varadarajan’s character, yet the fallen hero was an ordinary individual who accomplished extraordinary feats in life. Consequently, he desired an actor capable of both capturing stardom and maintaining a connection with the audience as a relatable person.
The movie titled “Amaran” featuring SK in the main role is a screen adaptation of the book series “India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military,” authored by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. This book series, in turn, is inspired by the life of soldier Mukund Varadarajan. The biographical action movie is jointly produced by Kamal Haasan, with Sai Pallavi taking on the lead female role.
