Alpha Gang Movie Cast Adds Channing Tatum, Dave Bautista, & More

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both movies and pop culture trivia, I must admit that the latest casting news for Alpha Gang has sent my excitement levels soaring! With Channing Tatum, Dave Bautista, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux, Riley Keough, Cate Blanchett, and Steven Yeun joining forces, this film is shaping up to be a cinematic extravaganza that will undoubtedly leave audiences in stitches.

Actors Channing Tatum, Dave Bautista, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux, and Riley Keough have joined the cast of the upcoming alien invasion comedy “Alpha Gang” directed by the Zellner Brothers. They will be working alongside two-time Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, who is also producing the film, and Steven Yeun. The North American distribution rights for the movie are being handled by CAA Media, while MK2 Films represents it internationally. Prospective buyers will be approached at the American Film Market in early November.

Zellner Brothers’ Alpha Gang comedy casts Channing Tatum, Dave Bautista, and more

David Zellner and his brother Nathan have gathered an impressive ensemble for their upcoming film titled Alpha Gang. The storyline seems to be set in the 1950s, revolving around a band of extraterrestrial intruders who disguise themselves as a motorcycle gang wearing leather, with Cate Blanchett’s character serving as their leader.

2020 saw the unveiling of the exciting new series, Alpha Gang, which initially brought together a stellar lineup including Andrea Riseborough, Nicholas Hoult, Jon Hamm, Mackenzie Davis, Sofia Boutella, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Fast forward to April 2024, Cate Blanchett joined the ranks of this talented ensemble. Unfortunately, most of the original cast have since moved on, with only my beloved co-star, Steven Yeun, remaining in the project.

The filming process is set to start in the spring of 2025. David Zellner penned the screenplay. Together with their sibling, they will oversee production under the ZBi label, while Blanchett and Coco Francini will collaborate for production with Dirty Films.

Apart from Alpha Gang, Cate Blanchett has two more upcoming ventures: a spy thriller titled Black Dog and a comedy-drama anthology film called Father, Mother, Sister, Brother. Lately, the real-life pairing of Tatum and Kravitz have teamed up for Kravitz’s directorial debut, Blink Twice (2024). Previously, Keough had worked with the Zellner Brothers on their 2024 absurdist drama production, Sasquatch Sunset.

As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I can’t help but marvel at the extraordinary careers of these talented artists. Bautista, recognized globally for his gripping portrayal of Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently graced the screens in 2024’s The Last Showgirl, which was honored with the Special Jury Prize at this year’s San Sebastián International Film Festival.

Regarding the latest members joining the Alpha Gang team for mk2 Films, Fionnuala Jamison, their Managing Director, commented, “These top-notch comedic actors will bring even more thrill to this highly anticipated movie.
