Allu Arjun ‘personally called’ Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava team to postpone film’s release for Pushpa 2; says he doesn’t like ‘word Bollywood’

Last night, February 8, in Hyderabad, Allu Arjun and his team attended the gathering celebrating the success of Pushpa 2. At this event, Allu Arjun spoke to the crowd and it appeared that he was expressing gratitude towards a filmmaker from Bollywood for not scheduling a box office conflict with his film. Although Allu Arjun didn’t explicitly name anyone, fans were able to identify who he was talking about when they realized he was referencing a movie originally planned for release on December 6.

Allu Arjun disclosed that he directly contacted a director in the Hindi film industry regarding the release date of their upcoming project. He prefers using the term “Hindi cinema” over “Bollywood.” Initially, the filmmaker intended to premiere the movie on December 6th.

Instead, they graciously consented to move the event and appreciated Allu Arjun Arjun’s thanks went out to them for accommodating the new date. In return, they expressed their admiration for Pushpa 2. Furthermore, he acknowledged the backing of all Indian film industries with a show of gratitude.

I don’t particularly like the term Bollywood. In the context of Indian cinema, I reached out to someone who was supposed to join me on December 6th. They were flexible, and they adjusted their schedule accordingly. I personally thanked them for doing so, and they responded by expressing their fandom for Pushpa. He expressed his desire to make us incredibly proud with his accomplishments. In return, he acknowledged our unwavering support in turning Pushpa 2 into an extraordinary triumph. Furthermore, he extended heartfelt gratitude to director Sukumar, acknowledging that every character in Pushpa 2 was a manifestation of his exceptional vision. He proudly hailed him as a beacon of pride for the Telugu film industry.
